Gunna Drips By With a Little Help From His Friends on 'Wunna'

Is Gunna a rapper or an Avenger? On Spotify’s amazing poster promoting his new album Wunna, a computerized Gunna stands in reverse-V formation with his musical godfather Young Thug and the album’s principal producers: Wheezy, Turbo, Taurus, and Aviator Keyz. They all wear matching iridescent black vinyl bodysuits. A burning meteor streaks through the background. WUNNA: THE AGE OF YSL, the poster declares. It’s a fitting visual metaphor for the album, which stands among Gunna’s best releases to date. On Wunna, the talent that resides in and orbits around YSL Records (Thug’s label imprint) brings out the best in Gunna.

Wunna is an astrology-themed album about the life and times of Gunna’s half-assed alter ego, Wunna. Gunna is Wunna; Wunna is Gunna. As the delightful backronym “Wealthy Unapologetic Nigga Naturally Authentic” and the Wunnascope encouraging Geminis to “drip offensively” both suggest, Wunna doesn’t unveil a yet unknown side of Gunna, but rather the wealthy superstar he has become. Private jets to Maui, women lined up to take him to bed, $150 thousand per show, custom VLONE. Despite the fervor of Gunna’s flexing, there is peace in his warm, groggy, melodic murmur, which always makes it sound as though he’s just woken up from a refreshing afternoon nap. On both “Addys” and the title track, he retools OT Genasis’ “Cut It” flow to make it glide. While some of his writing is of the Fisher-Price variety—one verse in “Met Gala” employs a AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA rhyme scheme—and his lyrics aren’t always well thought out (“Say the wrong word, and I’mma shoot him in his shit”), Wunna remains a transportive listening experience, due in large part to its production, which exists in almost perfect harmony with Gunna’s soothing vocals.

The beats on Wunna underscore the envious extravagance and comfort of Gunna’s lifestyle. Many of these beats recall the restraint, buoyancy, and soft edges of Young Thug’s Barter 6. It is the production, rather than Gunna, that dictates the album’s mood swings, which appear almost as seasonal fluctuations. The weightless single “Skybox,” produced by Taurus, evokes springtime with synths that flit like hummingbirds. “I’m On Some,” produced by Wheezy and Turbo, is spare, cavernous, and unhurried in a way that evokes wintertime stillness. “Argentina” and “Met Gala,” both produced by Wheezy (who notched 10 production credits on Wunna), evoke a languid, endless summer.

Most of Gunna’s signature moments have been collaborations. “Sold Out Dates” and Drip Harder made him and Lil Baby into bigger stars, and Thug’s presence has yielded some of his finest moments and biggest hits (“3 Headed Snake,” “Surf,” “Hot”). Unsurprisingly, Thug’s two features on Wunna coincide with two of the album’s standouts, “Dollaz On My Head” and “Far.” On “Far,” the satisfying victory lap that closes out the album, Thug doubles Gunna on the chorus, and they wistfully sing together, remembering friends dead or in jail and appreciating how far they’ve come. Whether Gunna is probing these arrestingly weighty moments or singing about Eliantte diamonds and boat sex, Thug and the Wunna production braintrust never once let him down.

Brittany Cartwright Compares Husband Jax Taylor to a ‘Girl on Their Period’

Vanderpump Rules fans have been following Jax Taylor’s ups and downs for eight seasons, but no one knows him better than wife Brittany Cartwright.

“[The biggest misconception about Jax is] that he’s always a bad guy, because he’s not at all. He does stupid things and he makes stupid mistakes, but so does everybody else. So does everybody else on our show,” the 31-year-old Kentucky native told Stassi Schroeder on her “Straight Up with Stassi” podcast on Friday, May 15. “He goes through these ups and downs, emotional waves, as you know. He’s like a girl on their period sometimes.”

Schroeder, 31, agreed, “Totally! That’s exactly what he seems like.”

Cartwright went on to say that Taylor, 40, has “mood swings or something.”

“If can be very difficult to deal with,” she admitted. “But for majority of the time, he is not that person. He’s fun, he’s sweet, he’s kind, he treats me good.”

The SURVer added that Taylor’s behavior is “magnified” on the Bravo show.

“Especially this half of the end of the season,” Cartwright said. “People just see that Jax and they don’t realize it’s not everything, it’s not our entire life. … I stand my ground and I stay firm. … I feel like a lot of people think I let him walk all over [me], do crazy things and that I don’t care, but really I do care and it makes me really upset.”

Cartwright and Taylor tied the knot in June 2019. After viewers watched them exchange vows during season 8, the bartender has seemingly started to spiral. Even the reality show’s producers have commented on his behavior.

“Historically, Jax has acted out and self-sabotaged when things weren’t exciting enough in his life,” a producer suggested on an enhanced episode of Vanderpump Rules that aired on Tuesday, May 12. “It seemed like he was having a wedding comedown … not consciously realizing why he was acting out.”

The producer added that Taylor “gets moody and lashes out at people.”

Vanderpump Rules airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET.

The Chase: Paul Sinha breaks ITV show tradition after celebrity’s odd request

Bradley Walsh welcomed Donna Air, Amanda Lamb, Sarah Greene and Dan Snow onto The Chase: Celebrity Special this evening as they faced off against one of Britain’s best quizzers, Paul Sinha. While ITV viewers are traditionally used to seeing the Chasers take their seat at the table in an attempt to catch the contestants, Paul defied expectations thanks to bizarre request from Sarah.

Sarah was third up tonight to take on The Sinnerman tonight as Bradley welcomed her to the show.

Amanda had sailed through to the Final Chase as the first up but, sadly, Donna was caught by Paul.

The Chase contestant Sarah admitted she was nervous to take part in the quiz but confessed that Paul was the Chaser she wanted to take on the most.

However, just as Paul sat down for their head-to-head, Sarah had a bit of an odd request for him.

  • Mark Labbett: The Chase star addresses ‘catty comments’ with Anne

Looking up the table at The Sinnerman, Sarah asked: “Can you do me a favour?”

As Bradley and Paul watched on with intrigue, Sarah continued: “Can you stand up for me, please?”

The Chaser obliged and Sarah went on to ask him to point his hand in the air then back down, reminiscent of John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever.

Seeing the funny side of the request, Paul performed the routine for Sarah, prompting her to say: “I’ve always wanted to see him do that!”

She continued: “That’s why had I come out first, I’d have said that I was longing to have you as my Chaser.”

Paul saw the funny side of Sarah’s comments but couldn’t resist a cheeky swipe of his own.

He replied: “Well that’s not weird at all, is it Sarah?”

Too Hot To Handle: Are Harry and Francesca living together?

Too Hot To Handle is a popular reality TV series on Netflix which involves a group of single men and women who opt for meaningless flings over deep connections. Viewers became obsessed with Francesca Farago and Harry Jowsey, who took a liking to each other from day one, and they built a strong connection. By the end of the series they confessed their love for one another and fans are keen to know the latest about their relationship.

Are Harry and Francesca living together?

At the end of the series the couple was invited to go on a romantic date on the beach to test their relationship and admitted they wanted to be together.

Harry said he would be willing to relocate from Australia to Vancouver, where Francesca lives, in order to be with her and fans found their new bond adorable.

Francesca recently posted a video on her Instagram account revealing to fans they were still together following the series, as viewers had been asking for an update.

Harry also posted a compilation video on his Instagram account, thanking Francesca for being his and making him happy.

Fans of the series were thrilled to find out the couple were still together, and they took to social media to show their excitement.

  • Too Hot To Handle final money: How much money did contestants lose?

In a recent interview with Pop of the Morning, Harry revealed how they were both coping during lockdown as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.

Fans had been wondering whether Harry had moved to Vancouver, however, he revealed he had only been there on a number of visits.

He said: “It’s been really difficult. We FaceTime two to three times a day. We are really well connected and our communication is amazing. Obviously it sucks but we literally have no choice.”

Their relationship has been tested since the series ended and they ended up having a break, until Harry sent Francesca some sweet memories.

He said: “I flew to Vancouver, she flew to Australia and then we broke up for a bit. I sent her a whole bunch of cute videos of us, and the next thing you know, it was all back on. I think we are in the best position we’ve ever been [in].”

Francesca also spoke to Pop of the Morning about her plans for a future with Harry, and she revealed she was hoping to move in with him.

Harry said: “She wants to move in with me but I’m an Australian country boy at heart. I want to get out of an apartment. I want a big backyard with like 14 chickens, 10 goats and just a gaggle of sheep.”

They also revealed wedding bells may shortly follow, as they have been sharing photos of wedding rings with each other.

She did say she could see herself living the farm life in Australia eventually, adding: “When I went to visit him last summer I was on his mum’s farm for a bit and I loved it.

“It was so much fun, I could definitely see myself with four kids, six dogs, a bunch of chickens and a bunch of pigs – that would be super ideal.”

Her most recent post on Instagram was of herself, Harry and one of her dogs, with the caption: “My little family”, and fans went crazy for the post.

One fan said: “This photo proves the worth of watching the show”, while another fan said: “I’m glad you guys did form a genuine connection. I’m happy for you and I hope you remain together.”

In the series the couple were considered the troublemakers as they broke the ‘no sex’ rule the highest number of times, costing the group the most money from the collective prize fund.

However in the end all was forgiven as the other couples saw how Harry and Francesca has formed a genuine connection and they really wanted to be together.

They were seen to make the most progress over the series, and what started as just sexual attraction blossomed into something beautiful.

  • Too Hot to Handle star reveals all about unseen heart monitor trial

Francesca’s Instagram now includes a section dedicated to Harry, where fans can see photos and videos of their pair together.

They even got matching tattoos on their fingers, of small lightning bolts, and fans of the couple have praised the brave steps they have taken to improve their relationship.

Viewers may have to wait some time for another update from the couple, as with lockdown preventing any wedding plans, the pair will have to stay separated for a while.

They may not be living together right now, but there are definite plans for the future, with Francesca set on relocating across the world to be with her man.

Despite their rocky relationship both during and after the series, their next big move will hopefully make them stronger than ever.

Narcos: Who was drug lord Griselda Blanco? Will she feature in new series?

Narcos is a crime drama series on Netflix which is based on the rise and fall of drug kingpin Pablo Escobar, who became rich through the production and distribution of cocaine. The series follows his communication with other famous drug lords, as well as the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), until his fall at the end of the second season. The third series continues to follow the DEA as they attempt to shut down the rising Cali Cartel, and a number of new drug lords are introduced.

Who was Griselda Blanco?

Griselda Blanco Restrepo was known as the Black Widow, the Cocaine Godmother and the Queen of Narco-Trafficking during her heyday as a Colombian drug lord.

She was part of the Medellin Cartel and help create cocaine trade in Miami during the 1980s, up until the early 2000s.

Blanco was born in Colombia and moved to Medellin as a young child, where she quickly fell into a culture of crime by pick-pocketing.

During her days as a drug trafficker, she was involved in the Miami Drug War during the early 1980s, and this was a time when cocaine was more popular than marijuana.

She was arrested in 1985 by DEA agents who came to her home, and she was sentenced to more than 10 years in jail.

  • Narcos Mexico: Why is Diego Luna leaving Narcos Mexico for good?

Blanco was killed in Medellin in 2012, at the age of 69, after being shot by a gunman as she was leaving a butcher’s shop.

A BBC report at the time said: “Blanco was one of the first Colombians to smuggle cocaine from Colombia to the United States on a large scale in the 1970s and 80s.

“She established many of the smuggling routes taken over by the Medellin cartel after she was sentenced to 20 years in prison for drug trafficking.

“With a reputation for ruthlessness, Blanco is suspected of having ordered the killing of dozens of her rivals to get to the top of her business.”

She spent almost 20 years in an American jail before being deported to Colombia in 2004, and her family said by this point she had “cut her ties to organised crime”.

Although there are many prominent female leads in the Narcos series, and its spin-off, Narcos: Mexico, Blanco does not actually feature as a character.

Fans have already picked up on the fact she has no part to play in the series, with saying there was a “lack of sophisticated female characters”.

The website said: “Take for example, Griselda Blanco, dubbed The Godmother of Cocaine, a real woman who was involved in the Medellín Cartel as a drug trafficker and assassin.

“Her story correlates closely to that of Escobar, so where is she in Narcos? Instead, Narcos almost exclusively focuses on the male perspective and relationships with violence and other men.”

The series does include Cristina Umaña as Judy Moncada – a former leader in the Medellín cartel, as one of the main characters.

Narcos Mexico season 3 Netflix release date: Will there be series 3? [INSIGHT]

Fans have also taken to Reddit to discuss whether Blanco will play a part in any new episodes of the Narcos series.

While one fan asked whether she would feature, CruzAderjc said: “One of the showrunners said the line at the end of Season 3 where they say ‘Mexico is where the real war is at’ was basically telling us we’re done with the Colombia story.

“They said we might get cameos of figures from Colombia, but the series will mostly focus on Mexico now. They want to bridge where Narcos: Mexico starts all the way to the El Chapo Drug Wars of the early 2000s.”

Other fans have highlighted how the series goes through Escobar’s rise and fall with no mention of Blanco, so she is not likely to appear.

  • Narcos: Will the Guadalajara Cartel feature in Narcos Mexico season 3?

The famous drug lord does, however, feature in a number of documentary films including Cocaine Cowboys and its sequel.

There was also news of a film called Cocaine Godmother, a TV biopic on Blanco, which starred Catherine Zeta-Jones and aired in 2018 on Lifetime.

In an article titled ‘Searching for the Godmother of Crime’, from 2008, said: “The legend of Griselda Blanco was Born on a warm spring day in 1975, when her Learjet touched down at the Bogotá airport after a 2½-hour flight from Miami.

“A convoy of long black limousines manned by a crew of enforcers met the plane on the tarmac and whisked the 32-year-old over dusty roads toward the Colombian capital.

“Blanco was back in her native country to meet with her husband and business partner, Alberto Bravo, with whom she’d built a cartel that moved hundreds of kilos of cocaine in the U.S. and employed nearly 1,500 dealers.”

Outer Banks: Who is Pope actor Jonathan Daviss? Where is he now?

Outer Banks is a coming-of-age teen drama series airing on Netflix and all 10 episodes are available for fans to watch now. The series features some attractive cast members and it is set around the stunning coast of South Carolina, meaning there is plenty for viewers to take in and admire. One of the main cast members is Pope, who is played by Jonathan Daviss, and fans are keen to find out more about the young actor.

WARNING: This story contains spoilers for Outer Banks

In the series, Pope is the voice of reason among a group of teenagers who call themselves the ‘Pogues’.

The series follows Pope and his other friends – John B (Chase Stokes), Kiara (Madison Bailey), JJ (Rudy Pankow) and Sarah Cameron (Madelyn Cline), as they try to find the legendary treasure.

The treasure is a clue as to what happened following the mysterious disappearance of John B’s father, and the gang put themselves through hell to find it.

Pope is the most intelligent member of the group and he has plans to start a scholarship programme, but he equally enjoys getting up to mischief with his friends.

  • Outer Banks ending explained: What happened at the end?

Pope has become one of the most popular characters due to his change of heart towards the end of the series when he runs away from his scholarship interview to help John B.

He also shares an emotional moment with Kiara, after telling her he wanted to be in a relationship with her, and she finally kisses him.

Pope has a tricky relationship with his dad Heyward (E. Roger Mitchell) and the pair often fall out about his life choices.

But by the end of the series, they understand each other and break down in tears whilst hugging.

He is described as a “weirdo” by his friends at times but he is a vital member of the group, acting as a cautionary voice who always thinks of the consequences.

Jonathan Daviss is an actor and musician who has starred in the film Age of Summer and the TV series Revolution.

He is a singer and can play the guitar, and he has also added football to his skillset having joined the football team at Conroe High School in Conroe Texas.

Before Outer Banks he was leading a pretty ‘normal’ life, working as a sales associate at the shop Saks Off 5th, taking on small acting roles on the side.

The new series was perfect for him as he loves the beach, and he had the chance to drive a boat while filming Outer Banks, which was a dream.

In an interview with Flaunt, the actor said how much he related to his character. He said: “I relate to Pope where he has that pressure put on him.

“You can see how it tears him; all his decisions had to be made based on getting out of the system. His whole tribe had to ‘work work work.’ I think he values his friends more.”

His Instagram page, under the name @jonathandavissofficial, features a number of behind-the-scenes shots during the filming for Outer Banks.

One of his posts said: “Guys this has been an incredible journey. There are too many people to thank, and it only lets me tag 20 people. The crew on this show was absolutely phenomenal.

“Everyone poured their heart and soul into this. Through the hot sun, long nights, and lots of bugs. I can’t thank enough the amazing people worked very hard to bring this idea to life, so my to OBX family, love you guys.” OBX is the shortened title for the popular series.

Another fan said: “Honestly, Pope is very underrated. He is so genuinely amazing and if you all can’t see that, you are actually blind.”

In an interview with Hollywood Life, the star broke down the meaning behind the Pogues and the different friendship groups in the series.

He said: “It’s all split into categories. There’s the Kooks, who are the rich and live on Figure Eight, the million-dollar house side of the island.

“There are the Pogues, the kids who live on The Cut, the working-class side of the island. They rely more on each other and going outside. They would be the kids who could be without their phones for the next couple of months.”

After Life: Ricky Gervais teases season 3 is already in the works ahead of Netflix return

The first season of After Life became an instant hit when it premiered on Netflix last year. From the mind of Ricky Gervais, who stars as main character Tony, the first season had viewers in fits of laughter as well as tears. Therefore, anticipation for more episodes was always going to be sky-high and Ricky has now delivered.

The second season of After Life premieres on April 24 on Netflix with six all-new episodes.

Ricky is back as the grief-stricken Tony who continues to battle with depression following the death of his wife Lisa (Kerry Godliman).

Alongside Ricky is the majority of the first series’ cast, from Postman Pat (Joe Wilkinson) to Brandy the Dog.

While the second season delivers on the tears as well as joy, Ricky has hinted fans won’t have seen the last of Tony in an interview with GQ.

  • Ricky Gervais savages ‘embarrassing’ celebrities ‘sobbing in mansions’

Ricky told the publication: “Yeah, this is the first time I want to do a third series of anything I’ve ever done.

“The world’s too rich. I don’t have to go over old ground,

“There’s 10 characters who could be the lead in something.

“The first [series] was establishing a central character going through the world almost as if it’s a videogame.”

Ricky added: “Now there’s lots of ‘meanwhiles’. It’s like [The Simpsons’] Springfield or something.”

Does this mean fans won’t only get a season three, but perhaps a season four and beyond?

Ricky is notorious for creating award-winning series which tend not to outstay their welcome on-screen.

His and co-writer Stephen Merchant’s BBC hit The Office only ran for two seasons and a Christmas special – despite winning two Golden Globes.

He and Stephen teamed up again on Extras which, again, only ran for two seasons.

While Stephen isn’t part of the After Life process, it still hasn’t stopped the series proving a success.

Ricky will be joined by a number of returning After Life cast members when season two gets underway.

His boss and brother-in-law Matt (Tom Basden) is back to try and restore some balance into Tony’s life.

Other returning characters include the psychiatrist (Paul Kaye), Lisa, Anne (Penelope Wilton) and Roxy (Roisin Conaty).

Friday Night Dinner season 7: Will there be another series? Has it been cancelled?

Friday Night Dinner on Channel 4 was renewed for a sixth series and fans have been loving the new episodes. The series follows the Goodman family, a British Jewish family who enjoy coming together for a meal every Friday evening. Some of the stars have indicated the latest series may be the last for the Goodman family, but will there be another series?

Friday Night Dinner was written by Robert Popper and the sitcom first aired back in 2011 on Channel 4.
The fifth series came to an end in June 2018 and fans were excited to see more from the BAFTA-nominated series.
In May 2019 Channel 4 gave a sixth series the green light and the new series is due to air on March 27, and will conclude on May 1.
But one of the show’s best-loved stars had suggested this latest series was likely to be the final one.

  • Friday Night Dinner location: Is the family’s house real?

Simon Bird, who plays Adam on the show and is also known for his role in The Inbetweeners, spoke to NME about the show’s future.
He said it would “probably be the end” as the stars were “ready to say goodbye” after series six has aired.
He said: “Every series it feels more like ‘Ok, we’re ready to say goodbye to these characters.”
However Robert Popper denied the claims, saying he was not aware of this series being the last, and he would be happy to write more for the series.

The new series has a lot of exciting twists and turns, with hilarious neighbour Jim (played by Mark Heap) getting a new dog.
Speaking exclusively to the media, including, Popper revealed what inspired him to continue with the series.
He said: “I wanted to do a show about a family that when you go home you revert to being kids again.Me and my brother became children again.
“I think it’s the intensity of the family which has quite a Jewish theme. When you write a family people can relate to them straight away.”
He said the show appealed to younger audiences as well as older generations. He said: “Maybe there is charm in the fact they [the characters] aren’t using their phones.”

One fan said: “The only good thing about this month is that Friday Night Dinner starts again.”
Another fan said: “Just waiting for someone to tell me that coronavirus is cancelling Friday Night Dinner, then life will officially not be worth living.”
Fans have come to love the representation of the Shabbat dinner in the Jewish Goodman family home and they have watched each character grow over the series.

The creator has since denied the series is ending. “That’s news to me!” Popper said.

“Simon said it feels like it could be the last one. Well, I’ve no plans to end it now.”

  • Belgravia: What happened at the ball before the Battle of Waterloo?

With new cast members introduced in the new series, viewers have plenty to look forward to.
If another series was to air, fans could be waiting another couple of years, so we are looking at a potential release date of March 2022.
The new series stars Tamsin Greig as Jackie, Paul Ritter as Martin, Simon Bird as Adam, Tom Rosenthal as Jonny and Mark Heap as Jim.
Frances Cuka played Jackie’s mum Nelly in the series, and the actress sadly died in February this year.
Popper and Greig paid tribute to her in an interview with the and other media, calling her a lovely woman.

Drew Carey on Why He Forgave His Ex-Fiancée Amie Harwick's Alleged Murderer

“I wish he never did it. I wish he never met her,” says Carey, who tries to “practice instant forgiveness and unconditional love.”

Drew Carey revealed how he coped with the murder of his former fiancée Amie Harwick after returning to host "The Price Is Right" following her death in February.

Appearing via video conference on "The Talk" on Friday, Carey explained how he addressed the contestants of the show when he returned to work, after taking a week off.

"After Amie’s murder, I took a week off. Really, I couldn’t function and my first day back we taped the high school show for ‘Kids Week,’" he recalled. "It was all high school kids. It was the first show back and everybody knew what happened to me. And so, I took time during the break to talk to these kids."

"I really wanted to do it because it was high school kids and I talked to them about how I forgave the guy who murdered Amie," Carey continued. "I did it practically as soon as I could, right away. He was mentally ill. The guy was abused as a kid and you have to be able to forgive people like that."

While Carey added he, of course, wished her alleged killer "never did it" and "he never met" Amie, he noted that forgiveness "doesn’t mean you have to hang out with them or be their friend."

He went on to say he felt it was a message that was important for not only high school kids, but people in general to hear. "It would be so easy to carry around, ‘This guy …’, everyday think about revenge which is not coming," he added. "There’s nothing that will make up for what he did."

"I really try to practice instant forgiveness and unconditional love," said Carey. "The closest you can get to that the better you are. I fall short all the time."

Carey’s appearance comes one day after Harwick’s alleged killer, ex-boyfriend Gareth Pursehouse, pled not guilty to murder. He was charged with one count each of murder and first-degree residential burglary. The murder count came with the special circumstance allegation of lying in wait, which makes him eligible for the death penalty.

Harwick died on February 15, after she was strangled and thrown from the balcony of her third-floor Hollywood Hills apartment.
