Victoria’s Secret model Romee Strijd looks back in seaside snap in racy photoshoot – The Sun

VICTORIA’S Secret Angel Romee Strijd will have her admirers seeing double Dutch in a sexy new photoshoot.

The blonde bombshell, 24, stuns in a saucy bikini for the American fashion brand who recruited her services when she was just 19 years old.

The model recently celebrated five years flying high as an angel with the US company.

Posting on Instagram earlier this month, the star, who is currently in lockdown at her home in Amsterdam, wrote to her 6.3m followers: “Another day in the backyard.”

But whichever side of the camera Romee’s on, she always seems to get the exposure just right.

During her career, Romee has walked runways for a series of high-fashion brands including Burberry, Prada and Christopher Kane, and has appeared in campaigns for Alexander McQueen, Donna Karen and H&M.

Anna O’Brien, who is best known as @glitterandlazers on social media, can be seen lifting weights, doing pushups, and climbing a step machine in the viral video, which has been viewed more than 15 million times.

‘Always keep your head up and chase after your dreams,’ the 35-year-old captioned the clip when she posted it on TikTok on Tuesday.

Working up a sweat: Anna O’Brien, who is best known as @glitterandlazers on social media, shared an inspiring video montage of her workouts this week

Going viral: The clip has been viewed over 15 million times since it was posted on TikTok

The video, which is set to Surface’s ‘Sunday Best,’ begins with the influencer doing pushups and quickly cuts to her walking on a step machine.

Anna is decked out in a pink and green sports bra and matching leggings, and she has a smartwatch on her wrist.

The footage goes on to show her on a rowing machine and lifting heavy dumbbells. She has a smile on her face while doing jumping jacks, and the feel-good clip ends with her wiping the sweat off of her face and giving the camera a thumbs up.

The video has been liked 2.5 million times and has received more than 30,000 comments in just one day.

While some of the messages were from cruel, body-shaming trolls, many fans commended Anna for her workouts and praised her for her strength.

‘Y’all don’t even START attacking her. She’s making an effort to do this for herself,’ one person wrote, while another commented: ‘Respect!’

‘I literally can’t even do 1 pushup,’ someone else added.

‘FINALLY. There’s actually people that just wanna be healthy,’ one fan noted.

Body positive: Anna, who is also a runner, previously said that her workouts have nothing to do with losing weight

Can’t win: She noted that as a ‘plus -size woman, she is shamed if she doesn’t exercise and shamed if she does

Anna, who is also a runner, opened up about her workouts and why they have nothing to do with losing weight in an essay published by Cosmopolitan.com UK in 2018.

She noted that whenever she is out running, people always cheer her on because they assume she is trying to lose weight and it’s the first time she has ever gone for a run before.

‘For me, running isn’t about weight loss. It’s about pushing my body and connecting with my community,’ she wrote.

‘As a plus-size woman I’m shamed if I don’t exercise and I’m shamed if I do exercise,’ she added. ‘It sucks that you have a choice on the way you want to be shamed, but that’s the reality of the world we live in.’

Strike a pose: The Instagram influencer has more than 400,000 followers, and she proudly shares photos of herself showing off her curves in stylish clothes and swimsuits

Online trolls: Anna received cruel jokes and remarks about her weight when Gillette shared this photo of her on Twitter last April to promote its Venus razors

Last April, Anna was cruelly mocked after a photo of her smiling in a bikini was used to promote Gillette Venus razors on Twitter.

The brand urged followers to ‘go out there and slay the day,’ when posting the snapshot, but the body-positive and inclusive message was lost on many Twitter users.

Critics attacked Gillette for promoting obesity and taunted Anna with harsh jokes and remarks about her weight.

‘Venus is committed to representing beautiful women of all shapes, sizes, and skin types because ALL types of beautiful skin deserve to be shown, Gillette tweeted in response.

‘We love Anna because she lives out loud and loves her skin no matter how the “rules” say she should display it.’

Victoria’s Secret model Romee Strijd gets strapped in for what could be a bumpy year for the US firm – The Sun

VICTORIA’S Secret model Romee Strijd gets strapped in for what could be a bumpy year for the brand.

The Dutch beauty, 24, has been an Angel for the US firm which last year cancelled its annual fashion show following criticism for a lack of body diversity.

The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show launched in 1995, going on to become synonymously linked with slender supermodels – known as "angels" – such as Naomi Campbell and Gisele Bundchen.

The annual fashion show had seen a severe drop in viewership over several years.

Last year, 3.3 million people tuned in – down from 9.7 million viewers in 2013.

After ABC first broadcast the event in 2001, it moved to CBS from 2002 to 2017, only to return to ABC again last year.

That show, however – filled with the elaborate lingerie, wings and sleepwear viewers had come to expect – would prove to be the brand's last for now – though Burgdoerfer did not specify whether the cancellation is permanent or temporary.
